A 10minute core session without a sit-up in sight! A fully functioning core doesn't just involve those more superficial abdominal muscles involves abdominal muscles we also look to strengthen the deepest abdominal muscle the transversus abdominis muscle, muscles that run along your spine, deeper back muscles that support the lower back, the diaphragm the breathing muscle that forms the roof of your core & of course the pelvic floor muscles which make up the bottom of your core. When your core is working efficiently all of those muscles are working to their optimum level. In this video Jo shows us how to work our core without doing any crunches, & looks at the quality rather than the quantity of our exercises. This session is important for all of us but particularly useful for those with neck issues who want to avoid lifting the head.
